Natural playground set in woodland with a stream for paddling, zip wire, tyre swing, stepping stumps, and monkey bars. Equipment is ageing and some pieces have been removed, and the natural setting remains a draw.

This is a fun wooded area with a stream running by it. The playground is fairly new with wooden equipment, rope and tyre swings, a bucket swing, a zip wire, mini climbing frame and lots of stepping logs and stumps to jump across. My children had great fun there especially paddling with a fishing net and jars to catch tiny fish in the stream. It's the sort of place the children tend to make friends and play hide and seek. On the downside, there is a walk to any facilities and seats for adults are quite limited. I reckon it'd also be muddy after any rain.

🏆 Family Action Verdict

Best for families with children aged 4–10 who enjoy unstructured outdoor play — stream paddling, nature exploration, and making up games in a woodland setting. The equipment is modest and some pieces are missing, so bring outdoor toys and fishing nets to supplement. Less suited to families expecting a well-equipped modern playground.

â„šī¸ What to Know Before You Go

💡Bring wellies and a spare set of clothes for stream paddling
⏰Pack fishing nets and jars — children love catching small creatures in the stream
đŸŽŸī¸Large car park adjacent to the registration office for easy drop-off
🚗The paddling pool under the trees is a cool option on hot days

“There isn't all that much here and it is a bit tired but our 4-year-old granddaughter still had fun. The zip wire is OK but others she has used elsewhere go faster. There are tree stumps to step on, a tyre swing, and a sort of monkey bars. It is in a lovely natural setting.”

“Small playground with simple, quiet paddling pool( despite sunny day was not many kids over there). Pool is under shade of trees, so great place for hot day. Playground is next to the registration office, and thanks to that, there is a big car park over there”

“Unkempt playground. Some swings are broken or dismantled. Very sad because the place is beautiful: many singing birds and wild ducks in a river nearby.”
