Northycote Farm
đ Bushbury, West Midlands
Free community farm in Bushbury featuring chickens, ducks, sheep and other farm animals alongside woodland walks connecting to Northycote Country Park. On-site tearoom serves good coffee, cakes and hot food.
Great place to take the kids. You can see farm animals. There is a tea room. There is a sensory garden too though it is currently temporarily still closed as a result of COVID19. There is a car park right next door for easy access and you can walk straight into Northycote Country park with great walks, woods, space ...etc. is not far from Wolverhampton but feels remote and off the beaten track. Love it. Often take the family there.
đ Family Action Verdict
Best for families who want a low-cost outdoor day combining farm animals with countryside walking. The tearoom quality is consistently above expectations for a community farm, making it worth lingering. Weekday visits are significantly quieter â larger groups (5+) may struggle to find seating on weekend and school holiday peaks.

âFound this by chance as a convenient meeting/coffee spot not far off the M6 and would also highly recommend it for families and people who want some time to themselves. There are lovely different spaces from wild areas to the pens for chickens, ducks and sheep. You can see how much work is put in by volunteers on the beautiful gardens and there are some nice memorials as well.â

âA great little cafe with delicious cakes & a good range of food for adults and children. The cafe does take cards & toilets are right next to it for public access. At peak times (mainly weekends & school holidays) you may struggle to get a seat, particularly if you are a group of 5+ as the pics show. Dogs are not allowed in the farm area but are allowed in the cafe and surrounding area.â
