1 / 2Rodbaston Animal Zone
π Stafford, West Midlands
College-based zoo with 600 animals across 140+ species including meerkats, lemurs, monkeys, alpacas, and a python. Daily keeper talks, Junior Zookeeper experiences, and free parking on a flat accessible site.
Amazing day here today. My daughter wanted a zoo keeper experience for her birthday. Chloe and Sophia Were amazing and took the time to explain everything about all the animals we got to see. Everything here is great value for money including the cafe, no overpriced food and drinks here. Plenty of parking and it wasn't too busy being the first day of the school holidays. After the keeper experience ended we walked around again and saw the animals we missed. We managed to make a whole day of it and saw every animal. Walking the ferret was quite the highlight for my daughter as it's not something you do everyday. Definitely recommend the zoo keeper experience and the whole place. Will be going back soon for sure. Thank you very much.
π Family Action Verdict
Best for families with children aged 2-12 who want genuine animal interaction without large-zoo crowds or pricing. The Junior Zookeeper Experience is the standout β children feed lemurs, handle tortoises, and learn about snakes in a small group with dedicated keepers. Under-twos enter free.

βOur daughter did a Junior Zookeoper Experience today and it was fantastic. Harry and Celine were fabulous with Lola. She learned lots about the animals and prepared and fed them. She prepared food and fed the Lemursn prepared and fed the Iguana and tortoises. Learnt about snakes and held a python. Helped feed the goats, horses, sheep and Llamas, gave a pig a tummy rub, fed the otters and rabbits. The time flew by. It was such a lovely experience, highly recommend to any animals lovers. We'll definitely be back xβ
