1 / 2Park Road Leisure Centre & Lido
📍 London, Greater London
Leisure centre with indoor pool, outdoor lido, cafe, and parking. Wednesday and Thursday baby and toddler swim classes with teacher Stella are rated among the best-value lessons in north London.
I can hugely recommend the baby and toddler swimming classes on Wednesday and Thursdays at Park Road, Crouch End. Stella is an absolutely brilliant teacher. She’s is very experienced and professional but also really fun and engaging. Thank you! Such good value (c.£7.50 a class) compared to other private classes. Her classes are on Wednesdays and Thursdays. They include Toddler Parent 10-10.30 Pre- school 10.30-11.00 Babies and parent 11-11.30 Pre- School 11.30-12.00 Really sets your child up well for school swimming.
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Families booking baby and toddler swim classes with Stella on Wednesdays or Thursdays are getting one of the better-value, better-taught lesson programmes in the area — that's the clear reason to come here. For general leisure swimming, the lido and indoor pool have too many unresolved maintenance issues to recommend as a reliable day out.

“We’ve had a really wonderful time taking our son to the preschool swimming classes! Stella is amazing with the kids, keeps it fun and is so engaging. To top it off the classes are so reasonably priced!!”

“First time visited this leisure centre and was absolutely disappointed. Lockers in ladies changing rooms aren't lockable with coin like else where. The smell of toilets in changing rooms is disgusting. Swimming pool having less then meter deep from both end sides, which is uncomfortable to swim. After you finishing your swimming you are going back to changing rooms which are unheated at all. I got cold next day of visiting this place. Now have to take Lempsip, havnt been sick for almost 5 years. Definitely not going to visit it again.”

“This place has really fallen apart over the last year. Terrible management! It's been over 6 months the sauna is "coming back soon". You can find leaks in the ceilings with buckets on the ground all over the facilities. The AC in the gym is broken. Hot water in the showers is once every full moon. The general cleanliness is discutable. The water fountain is broken. You often find the doors closed on arrival because of "unforseen circomstances". I mean when you make no efforts to maintain the place it's no surprise you can't open it to public because nothing works. Sad as many members have decided to cancel their memberships it's really a community that has been destroyed by this catastrophic management”
