1 / 3Archway Leisure Centre
π London, Greater London
Archway Leisure Centre has a main pool, junior gym, health suite, studio spaces, and birthday party facilities. Poolside hoist and wheelchair access available. Equipment is dated and the large slide has been out of service for an extended period.
Got great memories of coming to this place between 2010 - 2013... All the old staff were cool. Daniel Doyle (I think that is his last name), a lady called Simone (who was my dedicated trainer) and there was a black gentleman called Thomas (I think) but I could be wrong; he was actually a personal trainer but he gave me amazing free workout advice which I still incorporate to this day. I remember other staff faces but I dont remember their names! Wish them all the best wherever they are now. Crazy how time flies.
π Family Action Verdict
Best for families on a tight budget who want straightforward pool and gym access close to home. Staff receive consistent praise for friendliness. Families expecting a fully operational leisure centre with working slides and jacuzzi will be disappointed by the long-running equipment outages.

βFirstly the staff are very friendly and helpful. The gym has everything you need, ok some equipment could do with updating, but it works. The pool has been a normal pool temperature every time and misses loves the sauna. I paid Β£30 for six weeks, cheap as chips. DCFCβ

βMembership is around Β£50 + a joining fee, which would already be questionable if the place was decent. Itβs not. The app is absolute garbage. It takes nearly an hour just to sign up, is organised in a completely illogical way, and makes even the simplest things unnecessarily confusing. Genuinely one of the worst apps Iβve ever used. The facility itself is run-down and depressing. Feels old, poorly maintained, and not worth the price at all. And then there are the lockers: coin-operated lockers in 2026 in London. You either need to have a Β£1 coin (lol) or buy a token from them for Β£1.40 to get Β£1 back. Completely insane. Overpriced, outdated, badly managed, and frustrating from start to finish. Never coming back.β

βI was so excited to join this gym with my girlfriend. But since joining we sometimes go independently to one another. Multiple times she has now experienced the same creepy guy harassing her and not taking βnoβ for an answer. She has now reported the issue to the staff twice and has received no feedback from the gym on what they plan to do about it, even though the staff told her this was not the first time he had been reported for similar behaviour. Itβs a massive safety issue and a violation of their duty of care. Avoid this gym completely.β
