1 / 2Pitsmoor Adventure Playground
đ Sheffield, North West
Community-run adventure playground for ages 6-13, open since the 1970s. Features handmade equipment built by local volunteers, a famous death slide, and a food shack on-site. Qualified staff supervise all sessions.
Passed this place a million times and never have been in, until today. The moment we went, we was greeted and had to fill in a form or 2 for the little one and health and safety. It's a free place to go, it's a hidden gem in Sheffield for kids!! People are friendly kids play nicely and they have a little food shack at the back! I think all the little bits for the kids are amazing! And the people and staff are spot on đđ¯ they have a few slides, little chilling houses and benches on top of frames, a pirate ship with upper and lower decks, sensory toys and sand pits and something for all ages! A lot of the slides and climbing frames look handmade are unique, would definitely recommend if you want to try a new park with kids! @mantiumofficial @tektonik0 @t.a.g.0114
đ Family Action Verdict
Built for school-age children aged 6-13 who want to push themselves â climbing structures and the death slide reward confident, adventurous kids. Not suited for toddlers or cautious children. Families with kids who need to be challenged and given freedom will find this a genuinely different playground experience.

âWhat a fab place for kids to be kids and be free with play. So grateful for this playground full of wonder. Staff are super friendly and welcoming and the "death slide" isn't for the faint hearted đ these kids are fearless. A fab afternoon out. Plus the parent free zone day is an added bonus of us parents letting them be kids and assess things for themselves. My son has really enjoyed coming here through the years đâ

âFirst time that we went today, we were there 2 & a half hours, the kids (7 & 8) had a fantastic time and already want us to plan our return visit. Great environment for risky open ended play, my kids found activities that they liked doing and pushed themselves to try new thingsâ
