I had a really good time on the Emerald course at Puttshack. The holes are creative without being frustrating, so it feels fun rather than overly competitive. I liked how interactive the course is! The tech works smoothly and adds something extra without taking over the game. Each hole feels different, which keeps things interesting all the way through. The atmosphere is great too. Itโ€™s lively but not overwhelming, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Food and drinks were decent and easy to grab between rounds. Overall, itโ€™s a fun, easygoing experience and perfect for a night out with friends or a casual date. Iโ€™d happily play the Emerald course again.โค๏ธ

๐Ÿ† Family Action Verdict

Best for families with older children and teens who enjoy competitive games and tech-driven experiences. The prize system adds a genuine incentive beyond just finishing the course, and creative hole designs keep engagement high throughout. Visit on a weekday evening or weekend morning to avoid the longest waits between holes.

โ„น๏ธ What to Know Before You Go

๐Ÿ’กWeekday evenings and quieter mornings have shorter waits between holes on busy courses
โฐSkip a queued hole and return to it later โ€” the tech tracks your progress seamlessly
๐ŸŽŸ๏ธHigh cumulative scores earn prizes including free food โ€” aim for consistency across all nine holes
๐Ÿš—Book a table at the restaurant before your round rather than walking in on weekends

โ€œMy partner and I visited Puttshack Bank today and we were amazed!! It is so much better than normal crazy golf! The way the technology is set up is so cool and love that youโ€™re able to win prizes through points! The venue is absolutely beautiful, each hole was so much fun to complete and the food was sensational!! I must say all the staff were so lovely too, in particular a lady called Veronica. She took her time to explain things to us and Throughly looked after us. We will 100% be coming back again with more of our friends and family!!โ€

โ€œWe had fun! We paid ยฃ14 per person for nine holes, on a Saturday night. It took around an hour to complete the nine, because there were long waits for each hole owing to the number of people there. You can skip holes and then come back to them later if you're in a hurry but we were there to enjoy time with each other, so weren't. The technology is fun and easy, though it broke down on one hole (but was fixed quickly with a new ball). The course itself isn't anything special, all very simple holes, and a lot of repetition if you do some of the other nine holes courses (there are three in total). Junkyard and other courses are more fun in that way. The food is decent for a venue like this, and the staff super nice. They also have decent non alcoholic drinks and mocktails, if you want. I ordered an avocado caesar salad where the avocados were like tater tot, which was innovative I guess! But the manager kindly brought me some free avocado. Overall, it was fun but I'd maybe come back another day when it is quieterโ€

Overview

Puttshack Bank uses patented ball-tracking technology so there are no scorecards โ€” the system scores every shot, maintains leaderboards, and awards prizes like free pizza for high-point rounds. Nine creative holes balance fun with challenge across skill levels. The full restaurant and bar sit alongside the courses, and private event spaces are available for parties. On busy Saturday nights holes can have queues, and the skip-hole-and-return system lets groups manage their own pace.
