1 / 2The Font Climbing - Borough
π London, Greater London
9,000 sq ft indoor bouldering facility in Borough with progressive grades from first-timers to competition level, regularly reset by professional setters.
I've been a member of the Font climbing gym for the past four months and every day has been amazing. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, the gym itself is fantastic, and the climbing is fun and social. The route setting team does a great job keeping the routes fresh and the gym itself is always clean. The student discount is an additional treat! A lovely gym if you live in the southwark neighborhood!
π Family Action Verdict
Best for families with teenagers or older children who are already interested in climbing and want a social, central London gym environment. The progressive route grading and regular resets support skill development.

βGreat. TB2 is amazing. Facilities are good, large changing areas, good weights and the board room has nice natural light which is rare for a UK gym. Staff were also very helpful and they had a good selection of fizzy drinks.β

βGreat place, AMAZING playlists and friendly staff. Only reason for 4/5 stars is they donβt have as many walls as other venues (I donβt blame them, though. Itβs a small space).β

βJust randomly remember my experience in this gym and decided to leave a review. I got their promotion package sometimes before, 6 session for Β£36, so why not give it a try? Saying that I am disappointed is an understatement. The warm up area is tiny, with a weird layout under the stairs, lockers are criminally insufficient. The amount of people there was incredible. Which I can understand, it's in the city centre, well located etc. What I don't get is how filthy the holds were. Look, I have been climbing in maybe 3 other climbing gyms in London, with more than 2 years experience, never have I look at my hand and wondered why they are black during my climb. The holds are slippery no matter how you brush them, kinda disgusting. The climbing area is also in the basement, which I feel the atmosphere and air quality is depressing. The settings on the gym is also unimpressive, with weird layouts (for me). I also enjoy slabs, which there's essentially none in this gym. Is it a horrible gym? No, would I come back again? No, even with the 6 sessions for Β£36 package I didn't even bother using all of them. With the normal monthly membership (something like at least Β£85) it's just not worth it for me.β
