1 / 2Reel Cinema Borehamwood
π Borehamwood, Greater London
Four-screen local cinema in the Metropolis Centre on Shenley Road, Borehamwood. Offers parent and baby, senior, and relaxed screenings. Cafe with concessions including pick and mix, ice cream, and alcoholic drinks.
Fantastic local cinema with really great prices. We were/are at risk of losing this little place so its always my first choice to go here to show support. Recently seen 4 films here and everytime I come the staff are absolutely wonderful! So welcoming, warm, kind and extremely friendly. There never is really a major queue and if so at times, people are seen very quickly. Always a great selection of treats to chose from and the loos are always nice and clesn which is a huge thing for me Comfy, spacious seats and there is always plenty of room to choose a good seat, albeit recently it has been busier than before which is really great to see. Lots of parking free in the boulevard over the road just a few minutes walk, or down the vilage off steeet parking or the local car parking with a lift/ stairs down to the cinema. They also offer great discounts for various viewings such as the movie madness or for the oaps. Also they take blue light card so even a littke bit more of a discount and at Β£6.99 a ticket instead of others that charge Β£15 or Β£20 its a no brainer to support the local cinema.. after all this is the home of the film studios and we are surround by film history, we must keep our little local cinema going strong!
π Family Action Verdict
A strong local alternative for families who want an intimate, unhurried cinema experience. The smaller screen count means sparse showtimes, so check the schedule in advance. Staff warmth is the consistent differentiator β reviewers describe them as genuinely welcoming visit after visit.

βWhat an absolutely gem of a cinema in the heart of the community We all need to visit and enjoy this cinema to keep it going! A godsend for any time but brilliant in school holidays with the children and the grandchildren . The staff are really friendly. The cinema is cosy and comfy and you can even get a drink at the bar. Itβs had a refurb and looks very smart What more could you want and right on the doorstepβ

βSuch a cute little local cinema! It's very small which means limited screenings (and the actual cinema screens aren't the biggest) howeverrrrr, the ticket prices are inexpensive, so is the food (for cinema standards) + it's usually pretty empty which is nice. The toilets are clean, staff are friendly and it's very charming in a nostalgic, retro kinda way. I would be sad if it closed down!β

βI visit Reel a couple of times a month and I keep meaning to write a review. The thing that makes this cinema is the staff! Every member is cheerful, helpful and always smiling. Iβm currently about to watch Wuthering Heights and they really canβt do enoughβ¦.sort out your hotdog, mix the popcorn expertly and open doors. A credit to this cinema.β
