1 / 3Regent Street Cinema
π Greater London
Historic independent cinema in central London specialising in classic films, cult screenings, and independent releases in a retro intimate setting. Cozy bar area for pre-film drinks.
Just back from watching Goodfellas, firstly cost, I mean Β£4 to see a classic on the big screen. Environment - a haven for introverts and obsessive film lovers - clean, welcoming and takes you back to the time when going to see a movie was a special night out- it just looks and feels so retro, because it is. What enhances this environment - kind, attentive and laid back staff, they care. The contrast is so stark when you've had to navigate the shark invested shops in Oxford street and that's just the shop assistants. I'll be back and look forward to seeing more specially chosen classic, indie, international, left field, popular movies at a cinema that love us film nerds.
π Family Action Verdict
Best for families with older children or teens who have an interest in classic or independent cinema. The retro atmosphere and affordable tickets make it a strong choice for a culturally distinctive outing. Mainstream releases are not the focus here β check the programme before visiting.

βThe birthplace of British cinema is truly a place to check out if you like a good old independent movie theatre. I discovered it as an MA student in UoW but come back for special screenings over the years. Was so great to see Die Hard on a big screen!β
