This was our first time at the Science Centre and we had an absolutely fantastic time with our 4.5 year old. Particular highlights were building Lego dams in the water feature outside as well as firing balls and handkerchiefs across the room, and that was just the adults 😁 The staff at the centre were really friendly and accommodating taking their time to explain the individual exhibits and answer any questions. We will definitely be coming back!

🏆 Family Action Verdict

Best for families with children aged 4-10 who want a full day combining active science experiments with genuine outdoor woodland exploration. The 2-hour indoor session rarely feels crowded and flows naturally to the outdoor trails. Adults get as absorbed in the exhibits as children.

Such a shame it's only open to public one day a week!!! Great activity room that keeps the kids (and grown ups) amused and fascinated in various activities. Outside trail is great fun and they provide a backpack with items like binoculars and bug catchers and tick lists. There is also an on-site cafe that does great fresh cakes and coffee. Ample parking and it's secluded away nicely from the bustle of Oxford.

This place is brilliant for children and adults! Spent almost the whole day here. With a 7 and 4 yr old. The acticvities in the sciemce zone kept them busy for hours. Cam take your own food which is great but also a cafe on site. Great forest area to run around and a water game outside to play with. Overall great value for money. Booking advised.
