The team at Sea Life Scarborough were amazing during our visit! It was a very special occasion for me and my partner as I was planning to propose to her in front of the Penguins. I had been arranging this over the coming months and had been frequently contacting Athena to work out what would be possible. She helped me plan everything for the big day and informed all of the team of the day, we even created a code word which was passed along to the team to know when we would arrive. When we got to Sea Life the team was really helpful in leading us to the right place and when we reached the Penguins, there was staff members there ready to coordinate it discreetly and take photos of the moment. They even prepared a little celebration gift bag for the occasion and we were able to get photo print outs of the moment. Could not have asked for a more well organised and thoughtful proposal! Which is all thanks to the Team at Scarborough Sea Life. They are a wonderful bunch that really go out of their way to make things perfect. All of them are very knowledgeable about the animals and share a deep compassion for their welfare. It is incredible to hear all the different stories about their rescue and the amount of incredible effort that goes into creating such a wonderful home for them. Honestly if you are ever in Scarborough and get chance to check out the Sea Life there, I highly recommend it. Super friendly and knowledgeable staff that will take time out of their day to make your trip truly unique!

We really enjoyed our visit to this sea life adventure. Easily accessible from town center via bus, it is open from 11-3. The tickets are affordable. Toilets as you enter and you can also take photographs which you get to buy later on in the trip. So many beautiful aquatic creatures in this well maintained habitat, the staff is very well informed and there are many places to rest during the trip. We spent 3 hours there and could have spent more if the only bus out was not running at 1350 (the next bus is 5 and sea life closes 3). Otter display was closed but the sharks and sea lions were our favorite. We got to see the sharks being fed and the gift shop was reasonably priced. We also met vipers! Each staff member was so friendly and lovely- thank you. Loved our visit and will go again.

We went on new years day and honestly had the best time. It was skeleton staff but they all did very well and were knowledgeable. It was a shame that there were a few large families that couldn't put there hand to there mouth while close to my son. It was harder to navigate and so many pushchairs that it was hard to navigate.
