1 / 3Showcase Cinema de Lux
π Liverpool, Merseyside
Premium 12-screen multiplex in Liverpool with fully reclining seats as standard, baby cinema sessions, Totally Tots pre-school screenings, Sunday sensory-friendly showings, Costa Coffee, gelato station, and free parking.
We go to the showcase weekly. The people who work there are absolutely lovely and so helpful and knowledgeable. Danielle, in particular, is great. Iβm disappointed to see that sheβs no longer on the desk and there is a self serve screen to use instead. Nobody likes faffing around with self serve in the cinema. Itβs the main reason we donβt go to the Odeon at Switch Island; itβs annoying, takes longer and removes the human connection that makes the Showcase different to other cinemas. As well as Danielle, the security guard (I donβt know his name sorry) is really helpful and knowledgeable about the films being shown. Every other member of staff has always been really helpful and nice too. The people who work there are what differentiates the Showcase from other cinemas. I could stay home and stream a film or I can go to the Showcase and talk to nice, interesting people who always go the extra mile and can discuss a film with us. There are bigger cinemas, posher cinemas, cheaper cinemas, etc but the people who work there are what makes the Showcase stand out. Thank you
π Family Action Verdict
Best for families with toddlers and young children who benefit from the dedicated pre-school and sensory screening programme β this is one of Liverpool's few cinemas with a consistent sensory-friendly offer. Reclining seats across all screens remove the usual upgrade decision.

βBest cinema I have been too! Travelled from Blackpool to try this cinema out as it was the only one showing the 3rd Twilight film. I have to say the prices are fab on both tickers and cinema snacks! The seats are recliner and the comfiest cinema seats I've ever sat on! The whole place was so clean and the staff were friendly and very helpful! Will definitely be back again :)β

βWe was first time there. Cold inside because door are opened. One long queue to order or collect food even few staff there but very slowly. Then they start serve customers which just came even we was waiting very long time. Second minus -no markings above the doors indicating which rooms are in which corridor. Next - we do not find person who should check our tickets. Cleaner help us told where we can find usher and scan our tickets. Inside. In cinema hall chairs very comfortable but again was cold because people move and open the door to this room, and we was seat near door in the last row. Popcorn very big portions.β
