1 / 3Picturehouse at FACT
π Liverpool, Merseyside
Three-screen Picturehouse cinema within Liverpool's FACT media arts centre, showing independent, art house, and mainstream releases. Features a ground-floor cafe, bars on upper floors, pram access, and full wheelchair accessibility throughout.
I am absolutely in love with this cinema. It is run by the entertainment company Picture House which is owned by Cineworldβs ownership. They have a very nice bar on the second floor and a snack bar on the third floor right next to the entrance of the three screens. The movie tickets are quite affordable and they have a good selection of art or independent films. They also have some film events such as Wednesday night for filmmakers to meet up I wish I lived closer to the cinema, so I could could come here more often. I feel involved and am surrounded by cultured people in this place.
π Family Action Verdict
Best suited for families with teenagers or older children who want to explore independent and art house cinema beyond mainstream multiplexes. The audience skews toward adults who prioritise quiet, respectful viewing β a strong fit for older children ready for that atmosphere. Younger children would find the programming less relevant.

βA hidden gem right at the middle of gorgeous Liverpool! Helpful and friendly staff throughout, plenty to see and being independent, some unique films are shown. Great cafe on the ground floor, pleasant bar on the 1st and 2nd floors. Wheelchair accessible throughout, comfortable seating and clean toilets. Would highly recommend.β

βAlways great films in a welcoming and well cared for atmosphere with spectators who respect others by not talking and using phones whilst watching the film. The staff are friendly and helpful.β

βGreat place to watch films with not being too busy as it has more of an adult customer base. Seats are comfortable and being able to get a beer to take into the screen is an added bonus.β
