1 / 3Sidcup Leisure Centre
📍 Sidcup, Greater London
Swimming centre with a dedicated baby pool, gym with modern equipment, and fitness classes. Parking on site. Booking via app required — verify age eligibility for holiday clubs before paying.
If you like a well equipped gym that is clean with plenty of space and nice new equipment, then I would thoroughly recommend. Unlike what others are saying here, I find that membership is not expensive considering the gym facilities and classes they offer - just as good as David Lloyd Sidcup where I used to pay 3x the price. This is great for families and gym bunnies who come to work out and nothing else - I am so pleased with the lack of show-offs here make it a super chilled and comfortable gym to work out without judgement. Baby pool is also nice and big - good for my 2 year old.
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Works best for families targeting regular gym use or baby pool sessions rather than broader swimming programmes. The gym is genuinely well equipped and clean. Holiday club bookings carry real risk: under-5 insurance restrictions have resulted in mid-programme refusals and protracted refund disputes.

“My wife came in for a taster appointment to be showed around. They are offering three day free trial, so she thought she is going to try free classes to see how are the instructor s and if she likes it, only to be told that all classes are for members only, so if there would be space on the day, she can only join then.Total waist of time!!! Why to offer what you can’t deliver. The gym is tiny as a glove. And the receptionists were not interested into possibly another member joining .They were like ‘whatever’. And ohhh, the monthly membership price for this single room sized gym and access to the classes is a ridiculous amount of money. There are better gyms for a better price for sure. So no Thank You!”

“Today, I came in for a swim myself and my daughter. And left feeling violated and racially profiled. By a regular customer whose daughter works as an instructor. I booked online for a public swim. Only to be told we must use the children pool. The lady at desk did ask if we could wait till 1.30. I couldn’t wait that that long as I booked do 11:45. However, my daughter is a strong swimmer as the lanes were half empty. She went in only to be attack me in directly. The online booking doesn’t make sense. It’s not clear what is a public pool. I will not recommending or returning to this leisure centre again.”

“I am so unhappy with how my experience went with this club. I paid for my child to go for 2 weeks during school holidays as I work full time, the owner Neil came on day 4 saying my daughter was under 5 so wasn't allowed due to insurance and then said he'd refund the rest of the time. I have been calling him, messaging, he has not returned my money, which I had to spend on another club to fill the time he couldn't commit to. Super upset about this, he will keep hearing from me until the money is back in my account!”

Overview
Sidcup Leisure Centre runs a baby pool alongside a main swimming pool, refurbished gym, and structured fitness classes. The gym floor draws praise for cleanliness and equipment variety. App-based entry and online booking are mandatory. Age eligibility for holiday club sessions is strictly enforced and has caught families by surprise when policies were not communicated at point of sale.
