Great little spot! Little shop and a sheltered seating area for spectators. First time paddle boarding, lovely people who are willing to help but also just throw you straight into it! I received how to get on/off and where to stand, where not to go etc. That’s all I needed (although at the time I felt the need for a booklet of instructions lol) and I was off! I stood up within 10 minutes just from focusing on looking ahead, not down, and slowly gaining balance as I stood. Bit wobbly but aren’t we all when learning something new, only fell in once! Thoroughly enjoyed it and I had the water all to myself on a hot sunny day 😂👍🏽 Will be back, wakeboarding next maybe and I hear it’s similar to snowboarding which would be good as I’m alright at that! We will see! Thanks guys

🏆 Family Action Verdict

Best for active families with children aged 8 and up who want to try watersports in a well-supervised, friendly environment. Staff teach by doing rather than lengthy briefings, which suits children who learn physically. The sauna and cold therapy make it a practical full-day venue for adults too.

ℹ️ What to Know Before You Go

💡Bring flip flops or sliders for moving between the water and sauna areas
A dry robe is useful when moving between activities on cooler days
🎟️Staff get you in the water quickly with just the essentials — expect to learn by doing
🚗Book ahead for birthday parties — the combination of water activities and tented entertainment works well for groups

Did a hyrox in Birmingham and was looking for a sauna / cold dip recovery for the day added. So glad we found this place, the family run venue was so friendly and accommodating, made us feel really welcome. The sauna was clean and roomy with a changing room before you enter. There were two cold dip tubs (different temperatures) and a shallow natural open water area. We had about 50minw so did 2 dips and 2 15 mins saunas. There are full height windows so you can watch the wake boarding, best sauna I've been too hands down. Also there are two showers back at reception and coffee. Well definitely be back for wakeboarding some time. Take sliders or flip flops and maybe a dry robe for the walk from sauna to reception/shower. Can't wait to revisit

Such a fantastic outdoor swim spot, as well as all the wake boarding and aqua jungle setup which we didn't explore. Easy wood and grass entry with holding bars and a lifeguard to explain the depth. Clear bore hole fed water and a spacious sauna with 2 cold tubs at ambient and 8 degrees. Really can't fault the setup and the staff were lovely too.

Great fun. The kids loved it. After all the fantastic water activities, they put us in special tents with table tennis and table football etc. The kids had the most amazing birthday party ever. My 11 years old hasn't stop talking about it since we got in the car.
