1 / 3Stockport Museum
đ Stockport, North West
Stockport Museum spans four floors of local history displays and includes a children's room with role play toys and a train track. Connects to nearby Staircase House. Free entry throughout.
4 floors of the history of stockport - free to enter and explore, there is also the Staircase House and the exploration of the Strawberry đ studio. Stockport is fabulous for free museums to explore including the Hat works (which was unfortunately closest due to a leak, still enjoyed the cafe) Easter is on its way so not a bad way to spend your day đ
đ Family Action Verdict
Best for families with toddlers and young children who benefit directly from the children's play room, and older children who engage with the historical displays. Free admission makes repeat visits easy on a rainy day. Staff are reliably friendly and helpful throughout.

âGreat place to bring my toddler, he loves it. He's not old enough to appreciate all the information yet but he enjoys going upstairs to the children's room. They have a great selection of role play toys and train track. It's definitely an excellent place to go on a rainy day, plus it's free. The staff are all very friendly and welcoming.â
