Strawberry Woods Play Area
đ Teddington, Greater London
Long, narrow natural timber playground in Teddington with a sandpit, stream for Pooh-Sticks, spider web climbing frames, and tree shade. Toilets available at the adjacent gym. Free entry with nearby road parking.
This is a deceptively large play area in a long narrow plot. It's next to a gym so a toilet is there if needed and has an array of play equipment that's well maintained. Parking is pretty good on the road and reasonably lit in some areas by the gym.
đ Family Action Verdict
Best for families with toddlers and primary-age children who respond to natural materials and unstructured outdoor play rather than brightly coloured plastic equipment. The sandpit and stream combination consistently occupies young children for extended periods.

âThis park has everything for the kids to develop their fine and gross motor skills. They love playing in the sandpit and climb the spider webs. The park is ideal for warm or hot days because the trees create perfect shadows to avoid the hot weatherâ

Overview
Strawberry Woods is a deceptively long play area set in a narrow wooded plot with well-maintained natural timber structures including spider web climbers, balance equipment, and sensory installations. The sandpit is a consistently popular draw. A small stream runs alongside where children play Pooh-Sticks. Mature trees provide shade across most of the site. Access requires navigating a swing gate at the main entrance â a backup entrance sits at the far end of the site.
