1 / 2The Pod Softplay at YMCA Hawker (part of YMCA St Paul's Group)
📍 Kingston upon Thames, Greater London
Two-storey softplay for ages 0–10 at YMCA Hawker, Kingston upon Thames, with climbing structures, role play areas, and a dedicated sensory room for under 2s and children with SEN. Walk-in entry, loyalty card scheme, and riverside café.
The Pod is great fun for a really good price. It's much cheaper than snakes and ladders, and kids have the same amount of fun. On-site cafe, and friendly and helpful staff. They offer a loyalty card. Collect seven stamps, and the 8th session is free.
🏆 Family Action Verdict
well-suited to families with children aged 2–5 who want a manageable, rarely overcrowded softplay close to Kingston town centre. The sensory room makes it one of the few local options that actively caters to children with SEN.

“This local softplay is perfect for my 2 & 5 year old. It is rarely busy, opens very early and has enough to keep them both occupied. I can also keep an eye on them as it's not too big! It is also great value & has a decent cafe attached.”

“Vennicea was super helpful and kept the space clean. There was an elderly lady refusing to take her shoes off in the baby areas and shouting at people and Vennicea handled the situation calmly and professionally-the pod was spotless.”

“Great party venue. Friendly and helpful staff. Arjan and Adam had been very helpful in all aspects, setting up, arranging food, and cueing time. It made the first-time birthday party running so much easier for us.”
