This was a fun venue for entertainment activities, marking our first game of Curling ever played! We enjoyed pushing these down the lane from the chest as we aimed for the centre of the target, which shows as the North Pole on the digital screen above. We also played mini golf that weaves in characters such as dinosaurs, Mario and Tron; the e-bike is used on a hole that has a hidden hole-in-one route when the code is cracked! Settings such as an erupting volcano and Wheel of Fortune are included on the course, a giant labyrinth board is one innovative hole where we try to balance it the furthest along. Also played On Target shooting game where the rifle has telescopic sight, which was a solid experience to shoot down objects.

🏆 Family Action Verdict

Best for families with children aged 5+ who want to move between different activities in a single visit. The high ropes team excels at bringing nervous children through their first climb. Budget carefully — individual activity pricing adds up across a long visit, and peak holiday periods get loud and crowded.

Wow… I rarely ever write reviews but i need to give credit to how amazing the climbing team is! From start to finish the experience for my little one was perfect. All the staff were welcoming, especially a young lady named Olivia- she was super friendly with my little one and helped her come over her fears of getting down the walls as it can be quite daunting for a 5 year old! The efficiency from the two lads harnessing up the children was great and even when it seemed overbooked and busy, it all got handled professionally. Massive well done to them guys 😊😊Xx.

Took the kids to the high ropes today and we had an amazing time! The course was a great challenge and loads of fun for the whole family. A big shoutout to our instructor, Olivia, who was super friendly, patient, and really encouraging with the children. She made us all feel safe and confident up there. Thanks for making it such a great experience.

The Light in Huddersfield is way more than just a cinema, and that’s what makes it such a great place to go. There’s a huge range of activities all under one roof, so you can easily spend hours there without getting bored. I’ve done the bowling, karaoke, darts, shuffleboard, interactive shooting, pool, the arcade machines, and the mini golf, and honestly all of them were really good fun. Everything feels modern, well looked after, and actually works properly (which isn’t always guaranteed with places like this). The arcade machines are great for a bit of casual fun, the mini golf is well themed, and things like darts, shuffleboard, and pool are perfect for just chilling and having a laugh. Karaoke was a highlight too — private rooms and a really good song selection. The atmosphere is lively and energetic, and it’s a great place to go with friends or as a date spot since there’s so much choice. The cinema side of it is solid as well, with comfortable seating and good screen quality, so it works just as well for watching a film as it does for activities. The only reasons I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 are that it can get very busy and loud at peak times, and some activities can feel a bit pricey, especially if you’re doing several in one visit. Overall though, The Light is a brilliant place in Huddersfield and I’d definitely recommend it if you want more than just a standard cinema trip.
