The Little High Street
📍 Harborne, West Midlands
Play cafe on Harborne High Street designed for children aged 0–5, combining role play rooms — fire engine, shop, vets, dress-up — with a soft play area.
Absolutely Perfection. I was recommended by a dear from of mine to come and take the children and so I did one day later, I couldn't wait until me and my friend met up for a play date. I took my 10 month baby he absolutely loved it... There are sections which are appropriate for both babies and toddlers. The soft play was good for my little one. I will come back with my 2 and 3 year old As they will enjoy the imaginary shopping play. The business was done with great thought and infrastructure, the best I have seen! Underneath the layers and what you see , there are major benefits, such as Motor skills development for baby , gripping grabbing items. He tired himself out silly. the moms are very friendly and kind. It felt like a little motherhood community! The cost is very reasonable will be taking up a membership Food is very good and fresh produce can even tell by the fruits, that it is Waitrose. Everything was yummy!! 10/10 cant wait to come back!
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Best for babies and children up to age 4 whose parents want a calm, structured play cafe rather than a large noisy soft play barn. The role play zones are genuinely engaging for this age group and the allocated table system keeps the space organised.

“We visited for the first ever time today and it was a hit with both girls, (one just turned 4 and the other nearly 9 months old) it was a very calm atmosphere and I loved the way we had tables allocated to us and all the info provided to us on arrival! I don’t think it was at full capacity today but in our experience there was a relaxed feel to the session. The layout was great as it allowed the eldest to have the independence she loves whilst the youngest explored the under 18month area. We also ordered lunch there which came out very quickly alongside a sweet treat! The tidy up song that plays at the end was a nice touch too! Staff were very friendly and the eldest said “it’s been the best day ever” and has already asked if we can go back which we will!”

“This little play cafe is great if meeting friends or you want a quick play with lunch/breakfast. The place was very clean, with a colourful play area and friendly staff. To manage expectations it is only a small area for children to play and on my visit a parent kept monopolising certain parts of the play area that children were waiting to use. Unsure if we'll visit again but worth checking out with toddlers and a friend. I would say the jacket potato was quite small for the price, but no issue with the taste or service at all 🙂”

“This was my first time at a play cafe. The staff were friendly and inviting, they give you quick introduction and seat you at a table. The play area was clean and inviting for children. My nephew enjoyed all the different areas, there is a fire engine, a shop, a slide, dress up area and a vets. They have dress up clothes and other toys, however I do feel it needed more toys. Some of the older children were pushing the younger children, some parents were stood around talking instead of supervising, maybe this something staff can emphasise to parents. We didn't get any food but I had a quick look at the menu and it did seem over priced. Overall lovely place and my nephew loved it.”
