The Wave Waterpark

“Good fun but unfortunately a couple of the rides were closed (torrent and riptide). The other rides were pretty tame but good for younger children, the fastest slide being the rapids. I went on a sunday during the first session and the queues were quite short which i was pleasently surprised about. It was also quite warm inside so didnt feel cold waiting for slides. The facilities in general were clean but the lockers are not the best as many were not locking properly and once you have selected one you cant change it (there were 4 of us and only 2 worked properly so had to cram everything in to avoid going back to reception). Showers were not very powerful but it were clean so ok. The 2 hour session goes very fast so recommend going early to sort out entry and lockers. The crestar seemed to have the longest queue when we went so might want to go on that first if you want to try all of them. A bit slow but great for younger kids, there is a weight limit (think 60kg) so my kids while tall enough couldnt go on it together so for lighter kids an adult may be required.”

“We decided to take a trip to Coventry on Sunday and experience The Wave which is a fully enclosed waterpark. Having pre-booked the check was very simple. We were all given wristbands which after a bit of fiddling managed to open the lockers in the changing village. You first walking past The Reef which is themed for smaller children and has slides, tipping bucket and water jets. Then you have a choice of the wave pool which is the largest in the UK or the smooth flowing lazy river. The other option is choosing one of the 6 flumes on offer with three of them riding on inflatables. Unfortunately on the the day we visited The Torrent was not available! The Wave is well staffed and all are polite and helpful. We parked in the Salt Lane carpark where if you enter you car reg in The Wave on a wall tablet you will receive a discount.”

“Overall, Wave in Coventry is a good place to visit and there is plenty for children to play with. The facilities are decent and kids can have a lot of fun during the session. The main downside is that they only offer 2-hour sessions, with no option to purchase extra time. Everyone has to leave the site completely for the next session, which makes the visit feel a bit rushed. In my opinion, 2 hours is too short, especially when children are really enjoying themselves. The food and drink selection is also quite limited. Overall, it’s still a nice place, but a bit more flexibility on session time and better selection would improve the experience a lot”
