25-metre pool on the Isle of Dogs offering birthday party packages with pool toys and dedicated party rooms, soft play for toddlers, and a fully equipped gym. Unexpected closures from lifeguard shortages affect regular lap swim schedules.
Fantastic pool party. We booked a pool party for my son's 5th birthday and had a fantastic time. The water was a great temperature, they brought out lots of pool toys and afterwards we used a large gym studio for food, cake, crafts and a disco. Definitely a great location for a larger party for a great price. Everyone had a blast!
🏆 Family Action Verdict
The clear choice for children's pool parties aged 5 and up — the setup, staff attentiveness, and inflatable sessions are excellent. For regular weekly swimming, the unreliable schedule makes it a frustrating primary venue; call ahead before any non-party visit.

“I organised my child’s birthday party here, and it was fantastic! The staff were amazing as they made everything easy by setting up the back room just how I needed, with tables and chairs. They also kindly let me start decorating an hour before the party, which was perfect as I was on my own. :-)”

“My daughter had an Inflatable pool party at Tiller for her 11th birthday. It was an amazing experience and her and her friends loved it. Staff were lovely, very helpful and always on hand to help. Thank you to all the staff involved. I would definitely recommend hosting your child’s party here!”

“Tiller pool is a nice, well-refurbished pool. Unfortunately the issue is that there has been a recurrent lack of lifeguards which meant the pool has been repeatedly and randomly closed on arrival, and this since Be Well took over from GLL/Better, with whom this never happened. It doesn't seem to bother anyone very much up the management line and it is getting worse. So a whole pool gets heated for nothing for two days in a row. They can't even find a lifeguard with three days notice. I find this situation appalling. All these problems appeared when management was transferred from Better to Be Well. The booking app is also regularly crashing. Again, appalling! I'd rather they bring back GLL/Better.”

Overview
Tiller Leisure Centre's birthday party offer — inflatable sessions, pool toys, and a large studio for food and cake — draws consistent five-star reviews. The 25m pool is well-refurbished and the soft play area suits toddlers. A poolside hoist and adapted changing rooms provide full accessibility. Recurring lifeguard shortages under the Be Well operator have led to repeated unannounced pool closures, particularly affecting weekday evenings and weekend mornings.
