1 / 3Tumbles at Portobello Gymnastics and Softplay Centre
π Scotland
Purpose-built gymnastics facility with multi-level soft play across distinct zones for babies, toddlers, and juniors to age 16. Drop-in sessions of 60 or 90 minutes, with lift access for prams and wheelchairs.
Iβve tried every soft play with my daughter in Edinburgh and this is the best one. The play area is big and spreads across multiple levels with easy access for adults. The soft play is also clean and the staff are extremely friendly. My 3 yo daughter and I were really looking forward to the renovation but we were disappointed that adults are no longer allowed on the big slide! :( Iβve given 4 stars rather than 5 because the food in the cafe is absolutely dreadful and overpriced for the quality you actually get.
π Family Action Verdict
Strongest choice for families with children under 10 who want structured soft play with proper age-zone separation. The multi-level layout gives older and younger kids distinct spaces. Families with children who have disabilities can approach staff about age-limit flexibility β this has been accommodated in practice.

βLovely place for soft play, my daughter has a disability and they let her in even though max age is 10. Sheβs 11 so she got away with this but staff were amazing and food is lovely. Would have been nice if had more options on food like chips and cheese or curry sauce etc but overall a great place, also has a lift for wheelchair or elderly peopleβ

βVery busy but good play area. Lots of children are not watched by parents and therefore bigger kids end up in the baby area which can be difficult for the 0-18 month areaβ

βIt's ok, but not many options for toddlers. No jumping activities for older children in 4-7 age range.β
