Peace be upon everybody at willesden i would like to Thank Andrew for his service and professional attitude. I like all the team in the gym very friendly and polite. One sugesstion is that more weights downstairs gym appreciate
🏆 Family Action Verdict
The go-kart birthday parties for ages 4–11 and the learner pool for swimming lessons are the strongest family draws here. For general family swims, manage expectations around the service experience — staff consistency is the most variable factor. The free parking and learner pool remain practical positives.

“I’ve started calling this place the anxious gym because that’s exactly how it makes you feel from the moment you try to walk through the door. And honestly, that feeling sticks with you through the entire workout. Equipment? Barely any. When I say they lack basic equipment, I’m not exaggerating. They have two pairs of 10 kg free weights. Two. And only a couple of benches to go with them. You can imagine the rest of the gym from that fact alone. If you want to do a simple, standard workout, good luck—half the time you end up improvising because everything is taken. Opening hours that make no sense for London. They open at 6:30am and close at 10pm. Fine if you’re living in a quiet village somewhere, but for people who actually work in London and need an early workout, it’s completely impractical. And because they open so late, there’s an enormous rush of people all trying to squeeze in a workout in a very short window. Combine that with the lack of equipment and you’ve got chaos. To make matters worse: the doors. Their door system is broken almost daily. You end up waiting outside in a queue that feels like airport security on Christmas Day. By the time you even enter the gym, you’re already stressed. The atmosphere gets aggressive—understandably. With so many people crammed into an under-equipped space, it’s no surprise tensions rise. People try to take over equipment even while you’re clearly using it. And honestly, I don’t even blame them. The environment itself breeds frustration and anxiety. I feel the same way every time I’m there. This gym should be a place to relax, unwind, and enjoy one of my favourite hobbies—but instead it delivers the exact opposite. It’s exhausting, stressful, and disappointing on a daily basis. My plea: I genuinely hope other fitness companies see this and consider opening a proper gym around the Willesden Junction area. There is such a huge need for better options here. The community deserves it.”

“Dear Management, I am writing to formally raise a complaint regarding Andrew from the sales team at Willesden Sports Centre. During our recent interactions, I found his behaviour to be unprofessional, dismissive and inappropriate. His manner came across as rude and lacking basic customer respect, which is extremely disappointing given the standards we expect from a long-standing community sports centre. I am also concerned about what appears to be blurred professional boundaries in relation to his personal training work. As members of the centre for over 12 years, my family and I have always valued professionalism, inclusivity and integrity within the team. Unfortunately, our recent experiences have not reflected those values. Additionally, there have been activities taking place on Sundays he is selling hijabs to only Muslims women that seem unrelated to the centre’s core business. I believe it would be helpful for management to clarify whether these activities are authorised and aligned with company policy. Due to these ongoing concerns, my family and I have made the difficult decision to cancel our membership after 12 years. This was not a decision taken lightly. We previously had very positive experiences with the former sales team and felt much more comfortable with their professional approach. I urge management to look into this matter seriously, as long-term members leaving reflects a wider issue that could affect the centre’s reputation within the community. I would appreciate confirmation that this complaint has been received and that it will be investigated appropriately.”

“I’ve tried several times to book the sauna and steam room, but the booking system is honestly ridiculous. You can only book in person at the gym, which makes no sense — it should be possible to do it online like in most modern gyms. When I finally managed to get a booking, I had to leave almost immediately because the area was dirty and smelled terrible, like feces and urine. This part of the gym really needs proper cleaning and disinfection. It’s quite disappointing, especially after the recent membership price increase — it’s hard to see what we’re paying more for given the poor hygiene standards. I hope things will improve because overall it’s a nice gym with many great classes.”
