After several years of abandoning my camera, I recently attended a Bird of Prey Photography experience Day where I had the opportunity to photograph various birds both in flight and perched. Julian was able to give practical advice such as shooting modes, exposure settings and more. He was friendly, patient and keen to share his knowledge, which helped me to gain confidence in using my camera again. The staff at Willows were accommodating, friendly and enthusiastic, and had a wealth of knowledge about the birds, Thanks to Michaela, Ben, Luna and Josh. If you're interested in learning new hands on skills in photographing birds and nature or you need some motivation to start using your camera again, I would recommend this experience, Willows is a fantastic place to be able to do this, .

“We had a fantastic morning meeting a of beautiful array owls. Special mention to our falconer Luna, he made our experience truly special he is a real credit to Willows - thank you. We were also ahead of schedule so Luna kindly allowed us to meet the Kookaburra which meant we got the full 2 hours was nice rather than just sending us on our way like most places would do. All the birds were clearly well cared for and loved - especially with their brand new enclosures. Highly recommend, would love to return to meet the Burrowing Owls.”

“We loved our Owl Encounter at Willows. There were so many opportunities to see the birds up close, in flight and to fly them ourselves. Our falconer, Michaela, was hugely knowledgeable and engaging. Loads of opportunities to ask questions, too. We have been visiting Willows regularly as our daughter loves seeing the animals - it is such a great place and really has something for everyone.”

“Had a bird of prey experience at Willows, it was fantastic! Theo was very informative and chatty- he gave us an engaging demonstration where we got to meet and safely handle the owls, hawks and Grimm the turkey vulture! Would highly recommend!”
