1 / 3Woodhouse Moor
π Woodhouse, Yorkshire
Expansive public park near Leeds University with open grass areas, tree-lined walking paths, and a free weekly parkrun every Saturday. Autumn foliage is a draw. Nearby cafes a short walk away. Some traffic noise from Otley Road.
The best park I have been to in Leeds, I just go here to sit for a few hours and relax. It is a good place to go at the end of a busy day or to start a new day. It's spread in large area and has different areas dedicated for specific activities.
π Family Action Verdict
Best for families with children aged 6 and up who enjoy open-space exploration, informal sports, and walking in a parkland setting. The Saturday parkrun suits children who enjoy structured running with a community feel. Young children need supervision given the open boundary with Otley Road.

βA really nice park that is filled with lots of green space and features to see. The trees are really interesting to walk through and there is lots of open space to sit and relax and appreciate the outdoors in.β

βBeautiful park near my student accommodation, used for my daily commute to Leeds University Business School. On sunny days, it's a visual feast with its lush greenery.β

βVery nice park close to the university of leeds. Quite big and very green. It has lots of space and quite some benches to sit on. Itβs pretty quiet and peaceful even if the Oatley road is basically besides it where many cars usually pass by and even relatively fast, thus making noise. Recommended for a walk or a picnic with friends!β

Overview
Woodhouse Moor is a large open parkland in the Hyde Park area of Leeds, bordered by Otley Road. The park features multiple tree-lined paths, open grass for informal sports and picnics, and benches throughout. A free 5km parkrun takes place every Saturday morning. Autumn brings significant colour from the tree canopy. Several independent cafes are a short walk away. The park is unfenced with road proximity β better suited to supervised play for younger children.
