Quality roped climbing venue, with a good mix of delectably spicy and delightful toprope and lead routes. Great staff, vibes, and excellent setting. Routes are much closer to the outdoor equivalents than other nearby venues in terms of technical capability. Great flow, mix of styles in my humble opinion. They offer bookings for groups and birthdays. The space is heated. Taking the sting out of the atmospheric Scottish weather, during winter, autumn, and potential rare to mythical 4 season days throughout the spring and summer seasons.

🏆 Family Action Verdict

One of the best options in Edinburgh for families wanting to try climbing together — the wide route range means beginners and experienced climbers can climb side by side without either being bored or overwhelmed. Children from age 4 can participate in taster sessions. Staff are specifically praised for patience with complete beginners.

Highly recommended! This place was just amazing! The all staffs here (and in particular, Brendan - sorry if I might write it incorrectly) made my first climbing so memorable. At reception, they patiently provided us with detailed information though we were completely new and knew nothing about the place. When it came to the climbing, they were so friendly and cheerful. They also had an ability to engage with clients in the loviest manner. Will definitely come back.

Brilliant place to go. Starts easy for beginners and gets harder and more challenging the better you get at it. A good place to start your rock climbing experience and a safe way to improve yourself in rock climbing. The great thing about this place is that they supply everything you need and the teacher there are very good. Good for all ages, from young to old great and safe place to be.
