1 / 2Leith Victoria Swim Centre
π Scotland
25-yard Victorian pool with sauna, steam room, gym, and over 750 weekly classes including aquafit and yoga. Part of Edinburgh Leisure. Parking and pram access available in a historic Leith building.
I've been using Edinburgh Leisure for many months now under Active Healthy Minds. Really impressed with the facilities and regularly use the saunas and steam rooms which are amazing! Also as Edinburgh Leisure has many sites, I regularly rotate sites meaning I get to meet lots of different people and it's nice to have a change of equipment to mix up my training, particularly as I train 5 hours a day on average! I've already added 165 new followers to my Instagram π I'm always very impressed with the professional and friendly staff. Due to my autism, I've been misunderstood in other social settings in the past, but I feel I can be myself at Edinburgh Leisure sites. They seem more inclusive than other gyms and I note they also offer training for people with physical special needs which is excellent. I'm afraid there are too many names of awesome Edinburgh Leisure staff to note here but I've literally not met anyone I've not go on well with, males and females, of all ages. One special mention however to Martin. He's been amazing ππΌ I'll now need to try and copy this review to all the different sites I've used which are all awesome in their own way.
π Family Action Verdict
Best for families who value an inclusive, supportive swim environment β particularly those with children with additional needs. Staff are attentive and the atmosphere is welcoming. The pool and sauna are functional rather than spacious, so families expecting large modern facilities should check current capacity before visiting during peak hours.

βA brilliant place with lovely helpful staff, quite limited space compare to other huge branches but his one is impactful and energetic with all the necessities at top notch.β

βΒ£10 each to get in for non members for the pool which isnβt too bad. However, the pool was very busy meaning there were too many people in the lanes to enjoy it. The steam room and sauna are tiny and not that hot at all, donβt really see why they bother have either when they clearly donβt have the spaceβ

βThe βladies onlyβ swimming really isnβt ladies only. The door is see-through, so thereβs no real privacy, and sometimes the lifeguard is male. On top of that, there are random male staff walking around cleaning while youβre swimming. It defeats the whole purpose of having a ladies only session and makes it quite uncomfortable. Wouldnβt recommend if youβre looking for proper privacy.β
