Barnsley Metrodome Waterpark (Calypso Cove)

“We went on a sunday and the place was very busy. My wife and i went for a lane swim. The lanes only had 4 swimmers using them which was great for us slower swimmers. The water was a good temperature so we're the showers. Even with the place busy there was plenty of changing cubicles and plenty of lockers. The cleaners were busy keeping the areas clean to a high standard. Its a place for everyone to enjoy”

“Really enjoyed this venue with the grandchildren. Entry was smooth, plenty of changing cubicles including family size cubicles. Lots of activities and slides and the 2yr old really enjoyed the small people area. My only issue, it began to feel very crowded as more time slots entered, so book early.”

“Buy tickets in advance nice water park many slides a children’s area too it has wrestling and bowling it has entertainment and events like free food and afternoons out to go to the lovely lounge , best part of the was calypso cove water park Centre !!”

“Have been meaning to come to this place for few years. My now 8yo daughter is a huge water park fan. Overall not too bad. Overpriced for what you get. Best suited for under 7 year olds. Warm water. Over crowded. 1 water slide closed-no announcement, very long wait for the others. Lovely cafe and food options. Easy changing and locker facilities. Half the showers weren't working. No private showers.No hair dryers. Couldnt see ant plugs to bring your own. Place needs better signage. Staff were friendly polite and helpful. Free parking although would recommend getting there early to find a space and walk.”
