BattleKart Sheffield
📍 Sheffield, North West
Indoor electric karting venue in Sheffield with augmented reality gaming projected onto the track. Game modes include racing with power-ups, football, pool, and snake for 2–12 players per session.
Today I visited BattleKart Sheffield as a carer, taking along the autistic boy I look after, and I honestly couldn’t have been more impressed with the experience. From the moment we arrived, both Leila and Kayleigh were so polite, welcoming, and understanding. Leila was in charge of our group, and she was absolutely fantastic. She was super inclusive and took the time to make sure the instructions were explained in a way that better suited the boy I care for. She adapted her communication calmly and clearly, which made such a difference to his confidence and understanding. What really stood out was how supportive Leila was once we were on the track. She gave him clear instructions and constant words of encouragement, helping him feel safe and capable throughout the session. It meant so much to see him fully included and genuinely enjoying himself. The whole experience was positive, well-organised, and accommodating. I would highly recommend BattleKart Sheffield for neurodivergent children. The staff truly go above and beyond to make sure everyone feels included and supported. We’ll definitely be returning!
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Best for families with children aged 10 and up who want a tech-driven experience rather than traditional high-speed karting. The augmented reality format makes it genuinely different from a standard go-kart track, and the staff adaptability for neurodivergent children is a genuine differentiator.

“Top experience! All of us loved this. Quite expensive but definitely worth it. You book 15 minute sessions, I booked half hour as I thought 15 minutes wouldn't be enough and that was a good length of time. You get to pick what games you do, you can choose from quite a few. We enjoyed snake, colour and one where you race against your team. Brings out the competitive side I can tell you! There is a winners podium after you finish that takes photos and you scan the qr code and you download to your phone.”

“Had so much fun. Really easy booking process, straight forward instructions when you get there. Went as a family and we all loved it. Choice of games were fab. Recommend at least two fifteen minute slots. Will definitely be back.”

“The staff here are fantastic and make the experience fun. The karting games are enjoyable but don't last long enough. You start getting in the experience and it's cut short due to timings. If you are a fan on traditional karting then this isn't the place for you. This is for those who prefer a light hearted fun alternative to racing. I can recommend this as a fun experience overall.”
