Wow, absolutely loved/adored it. From arriving and being greeted by very friendly staff, to waiting in the gorgeous clean spectators area upstairs, I was already very impressed with what I saw. Had a good induction and got all geared up with gloves, outfit and helmet, (I brought my own balaclava). My mum and dad were watching and taking photos and videos, to which later I found out that they described me as 'Driving Miss Daisy' but saying that, it was my first time. After my first 15min race, I was on a high, I was buzzing. The other racers were all very nice and approachable and offered some good advice for me to take on board. I couldn't wait to get back in the driver's seat again for my 2nd race. I loved every minute, couldn't stop talking about it on the way home, at home, the nxt morning and at work. My mum and dad have booked for me to come again next week and I'm sure/hopefully they will refer to me as Sterling Moss and not Driving Miss Daisy. Can't wait, it's fab, love it, told all my mates to try it too as well as my work colleagues and possibly to come here to have our Xmas do.

🏆 Family Action Verdict

Best for families with children aged 8 and above who want a proper indoor karting experience on a two-level track. Midweek sessions deliver a noticeably better race flow than weekends. Staff are friendly and the briefing is thorough. Check your assigned kart's responsiveness before the session starts and report any equipment notes immediately.

ℹ️ What to Know Before You Go

Bring your own balaclava — the venue charges extra for theirs

Great venue near Meadowhall. Nice friendly staff. Track on two levels. They offer a safety briefing as well. They charge extra for balaclavas and drinks are roughly £3 each. Great fun. Nice clean place.

Staff are really helpful and friendly. Track is fun when you can get a full lap in without being stopped. The suits are showing their age a little bit. I really wish I had read the reviews about going at the weekends. If you are wanting to go for some fun. Weekends is not the time. It was stop start for both sessions. Seeing one teens helmet fly off when he drove into the barrier makes me question how well helmets are checked. Last thing for me is for Marshall’s to make sure that amber lights rules are followed. Nothing worse than being over took on amber lights rules so they can get further in front. It’s something fun and not a competition. But that does spoil the experience. We will go again, it’s something we enjoy as a family.

Went to a 2 for 3 session on Friday night and the track itself is brilliant and in good conditon, ventilation is reasonably good as far as indoor karting goes and the staff were friendly. Why just 3 stars? First of all we were late to the 3rd session because we heard group A and B being told to go to briefing room, turned out it was only for people who haven't raced yet (which was said on the speaker) but why not just give out more group letters so there's no chance of confusion? I'm sure we're not the first ones to have done this. Because we were slightly late we got assigned different karts for that session and the one I was changed to had pretty much non existent brakes. They worked fine on the 2nd press of the pedal but even stomping on them all the way the first time did very little in slowing the kart down if they haven't been pressed for a while. You can imagine how dangerous that is, if I had to emergency brake, like I had to in the first 2 sessions, I would be hitting the kart in front of me at full speed! As soon as the session finished I reported it to staff highlighting how bad it was. They seemed to take in onboard but then, to my amazement, left the kart in the pits for next group to get into. When I questioned it I was told they can't do anything about it because they're fully booked but will look into it as soon as the sessions end. This seems INSANE to me, there's issues that can wait and then there's a faulty brake system. Surely it's possible and logical to keep a spare kart for situations like this? Also for anyone competitive avoid weekends and go mid-week if you can, the amount of red and orange flags during the 6 sessions we raced/witnessed was ridiculous and really spoilt the fun, not TS fault but we were told it's often like that on weekends.

Overview

The two-level layout gives the Sheffield circuit more variety than single-floor tracks, with the upper spectator area offering a clear view of the action below. Ventilation is reasonable for an indoor petrol venue. Staff deliver a structured safety briefing before every session. Balaclavas are charged as an extra — bring your own to avoid the cost. Reviewers flag weekend sessions as prone to frequent stoppages due to high kart numbers; midweek visits run more freely.
