📍 Farnham, Greater London
18-acre park dedicated entirely to birds — 181 species including penguins, toucans, and flamingos — with daily keeper talks, a Toucan encounter, and the new year-round Play Barn for wet-weather days.
Just wow! so many birds of many varieties. They are excellent quality birds. Some had strange eyes that would look at you a bit intimidatingly but other than that I would say it's fantastic . I got an annual pass before I even went because I love birds. I would say I like them even more now. good job
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Best for families with children who respond to up-close animal encounters rather than distance viewing. The bird focus is distinctive enough that it doesn't feel like any other zoo, and the Play Barn means a poor forecast needn't be a deal-breaker. Photography enthusiasts with older children get particular value from the enclosure quality.

“Great venue with a great activities, new indoor play zone for kids w/ decent food and lot of interesting birds. Great for summer but fine for winter period too. Only price makes it miss the 5 golden stars.”

“Had a wonderful time, we went in a photography capacity and found the enclosures to be very enriching for the birds, with a great mix of species. The only small part I wasn't so sure on, was in the Love & Colour, the main enclosure with the "love birds" lacked a lot of greenery and was mainly bird boxes, but the birds all seemed happy so this is more of an aesthetic choice I believe.”

Overview
Birdworld is the UK's sole dedicated bird park, housing 181 species across 18 landscaped acres. Penguin feeding talks and toucan encounters are the headline experiences; the new Play Barn adds an indoor soft-play option so rain doesn't shorten the day. Seasonal events include dinosaur shows. The site suits photographers well — enclosure design puts birds at close range across most exhibits.
