We visited to collect a Book originally ordered online due to Lockdown but all the Staff we came into contact with were very friendly & helpful & we organised to collect it in person - a gift for Easter - Whilst only there a few minutes it clearly has a lot of local interesting leaflets, books etc & we will certainly visit it again when it re-opens - ideally placed on the Canal and close to the Middlewood Way - well worth a visit to find out more about the area.

🏆 Family Action Verdict

Best for families with older children who engage with industrial and social history, or for any family using the centre as a launchpad for a canal walk or Middlewood Way cycle. The compact scale suits a 30–45 minute visit rather than a standalone day out. Free admission and a genuinely useful map selection make it worth a stop.
