Bristol Zoo Project features natural animal habitats including an African Forest exhibit with cheetahs, giraffes, and wolves, plus lemurs and European brown bears. Keeper talks, training demonstrations, and seasonal events throughout the year.
Fantastic place to visit, well priced, lots of staff about and happy to strike up conversation and talk about the zoo and animals. There was a lot of construction work ongoing through our visit but most attractions were not affected at all and this was clearly advertised and communicated on their website. The enclosures all seem very appropriate for the animals, well sized and full of enrichment. Despite the cold the animals were active and thriving.

âI visited just before Christmas and had a great day. It was made all the better by meeting the brilliant Public Engagement volunteers: Chris, Sian W, Moira, Samuel, Rob, and Education Ben! All were friendly, welcoming, informative and a genuine credit to the zoo! The red river hogs and giraffes as always for me, were a highlight too. It's always fantastic to see the exciting progress: the Tropical House, and the pending gorilla & crocodile habitats!â

âEasy to find, Ample parking. Great coffee and my boys loved the sausage rolls. Obviously still a work in process and can't wait to see the new buildings once opened. Some areas were a bit rough with the wheelchair but we managed.â

âVery impressive. Wild place with interactive sessions . All animals were in natural habitat. Cheetah was my favourite. Bear and wolves were hibernating but watched on webcam. Giraffes as majestic tall and elegant to watch. Enjoyed day outâ
