Carr Manor Fields Playground
📍 Moortown, Yorkshire
Free outdoor space in Moortown combining a basic playground, open football fields, a small wooded area, and dual use for dog walking. Best in dry conditions — the site gets muddy after rain.
Good open space with playground, suitable for smaller children but bigger ones can play on the field. Good for exercising dogs too
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Best for families with children aged 5 and above, particularly those who enjoy open-field play, informal football, and outdoor exploration rather than structured equipment. Dog-owning families get good dual-purpose value from the open space.

“Gets VERY muddy after rain so go prepared. Great space for dog walking and football. Has a small playground. Small wooded area. Parking on main road. Would benefit from sporadic benches and more than one bin which easily overflows in good weather due to picnics. Good view of stars in clear weather.”

Overview
Carr Manor Fields offers a basic playground alongside open green fields suitable for football and informal ball games, a small wooded area for exploration, and clear suitability for dog owners. The playground equipment is sparse — better suited for children 5 and above than for toddlers aged 2-4. No on-site facilities. Roadside parking on the main road. Entry gates have been reported as narrow for double prams.
