1 / 2Moortown Park
đ Moortown, Yorkshire
Purpose-built 2018 community park in Moortown featuring separate enclosed play area for under-5s, open equipment zone for older children, a large sand pit, paved perimeter walking circuit, wildflower meadows, and picnic benches.
Lovely new park. Has a sand pit area for the little ones and plenty of things to do for the older kids too. There a nice little trail around the perimeter too.
đ Family Action Verdict
Best for families with mixed ages who need separate zones to keep everyone occupied simultaneously. The enclosed toddler area lets parents of younger children relax as older siblings use the open equipment independently. The perimeter trail adds a walk element that makes the visit longer than a standard playground trip.

Overview
Moortown Park was designed with two distinct play areas: an enclosed section suited to smaller children with swings and low-level climbing, and an open area for older kids with larger frames and slides. A central sand pit sits between the zones. A paved perimeter circuit runs the full boundary â wide enough for prams and bikes. Wildflower meadows and picnic benches are spread throughout. A Wren Bakery coffee van visits regularly.
