Travelled down from Glasgow last night, dropped my daughter at a concert, took my son and his friend here. We got caught in the most horrendous traffic I've ever seen and almost missed our slot, but the two guys on reception last night went above and beyond to help us out. They could not have been nicer. Honestly, first class customer service. I can't thank them both enough. The boys had a brilliant time on the Karts, there were 5 different races/tracks. The maps are so fun. Totally different to anything we have in Glasgow. The little medals and photos at the end just topped it off. This would be great for a birthday party!

πŸ† Family Action Verdict

Best for families with older children and teens who are into gaming and competitive racing. The Mario Kart concept lands well when staff are energetic and sessions are well-paced. Travelled-from-a-distance reviews are consistently positive; local drop-in visits produce more mixed results. Manage session-length expectations before arriving.

ℹ️ What to Know Before You Go

πŸ’‘Book in advance β€” popular time slots sell out and walk-ins risk being turned away
⏰Arrive a few minutes before your slot to avoid losing race time to check-in queues
🎟️Sessions consist of several short races rather than one continuous drive β€” factor this in
πŸš—The kart pedals are in low-light conditions; give yourself a lap to get oriented

β€œWe travelled over 100 miles to come here and loved every second. It was so much fun that we booked a rematch as soon as we finished. Thank you Barney, Iassic, Lauren & Agla for unleashing our inner kids!”

β€œBooked this for my boyfriends birthday and we had so much fun. It's like the real life Mario karts where your in a kart and you can shoot at other players to get infront of them. You go around the track a few times and each time your getting timed so at the end it'l tell you on the screen how fast you was and your position. This venue isn't just for couples it's for family's too as it's child friendly but I'm not sure what age you've got to be to drive a kart yourself. Whilst there you'l have a tutorial on how to drive the karts, what buttons to press to shoot at other players and safety of yourself/others. If your wanting a fun date njght this is your go to place!! I came 2nd and my boyfriend come 5th which I was well happy with as that's the first time I've ever beat him in a game lol. I'd definitely recommend toothers and no doubt return in the near future.”

β€œWe were really looking forward to this experience but unfortunately left feeling disappointed. We travelled from Derby and arrived before our booked time. Check-in was smooth, but when our time came we were asked if we were the β€œgame pass” party and then told we would need to wait for the next session, which was 25 minutes later. We were told this was due to a technical issue, but this was not mentioned at check-in. From our perspective, it felt as though we were asked to wait simply because we had booked a bundle, despite having secured our time slot well in advance. This delay disrupted the other plans we had for the day. What made this more frustrating was the lack of honesty. If we had been told the session was overbooked and asked whether we’d mind joining the next one as the last group to arrive, we would have understood. Being told it was a technical issue felt disingenuous. As for the activity itself, it has real potential. Experiences like the Pac-Man one, show how good it can be when hosted well. Unfortunately, this largely comes down to staff engagement, and on this occasion it fell short. The staff member running the session was very rude, flat, and unenthusiastic, which completely affected the atmosphere. This was a stark contrast to the Pac-Man experience, which was excellent largely due to the host’s energy and attitude. Safety and clarity were also concerns. When getting into the car it was very dark, with no lighting to show the pedals. We were told not to touch the right pedal, but you genuinely cannot see it when seated. I accidentally pressed it and was spoken to rudely. Even someone from another group commented on how difficult it was to see. The safety video should show the real layout of the car rather than a cartoon version, or there should be lighting or staff assistance when getting in. The room itself also felt overcrowded. Having eight go-karts in such a small space is not well managed and feels unsafe. We were told not to bump into other cars, but this is almost impossible in that environment. Fewer cars, perhaps four or five, would be far more realistic. Wing mirrors would also help, as you cannot see behind you and being hit from the rear is genuinely dangerous. The races themselves were short, and although there are several of them, they don’t last long enough to feel satisfying. Overall, this experience is not great in its current form, but it absolutely could be. With better communication, improved safety measures, and more engaged staff, it has the potential to be something genuinely enjoyable rather than disappointing.”
