1 / 3The Crystal Maze
π Manchester, North West
Immersive recreation of the iconic TV show across Aztec, Industrial, Medieval, and Futuristic zones. Teams of up to 8 tackle physical and mental puzzles for over 60 minutes, ending in the Crystal Dome. Age 9 and up.
Will you start the fans please Wanted something to do on our 10th year wedding anniversary As we both grew up watching this, we decided to give it a shot We were not disappointed Itβs a tiny place from the outside so I wasnβt too sure what awaited us I would say itβs kinda on the pricey side, however itβs worth every penny. They also donβt charge that much for photos at the end. There are quite a few souvenirs you can purchase as well We were greeted by the receptionist, which was a really nice bloke. We found out we were just going into the game with only two of us. Which made things even better as we didnβt have to share the experience with strangers and I think doing that wouldβve made the whole experience a bit awkward. SO TOP MARKS for this ! The woman who took us in and explained the rules beforehand was really nice. Put a lot of effort in to get us hyped up and in the mood. We were greeted by our game host Holly Day. Awesome is the only way to describe her. This is exactly like the TV show. We also did a few games off the show. We visited all four zones and collected nine crystals. The place is massive. Had no idea where they put it all! We collected 106 tokens in the dome. I wouldβve liked to had recording of us inside the dome also I think a nice touch would be if you collected a certain amount of tokens you can get some free souvenirs or discounts off the souvenirs This place is a must visit for anyone whoβs watched the show. This place is 10/10 canβt fault it Keep up the excellent work, guys
π Family Action Verdict
Best for families with children aged 9 and up who enjoy high-energy team challenges and problem-solving. Teens and adults who remember the original TV show get maximum enjoyment. Assign roles before arriving β who leads, who handles puzzles, who takes on physical tasks. Not suited to young children or those who dislike fast-paced competitive play.

βWe had an incredible time at The Crystal Maze LIVE Experience in Manchester β it was everything we hoped for and more! From the moment we stepped in, it felt like we'd been transported straight back to the classic 90s TV show. The zones are spot-on (Aztec, Industrial, Medieval, Futuristic β all immersive and full of that nostalgic charm), the challenges are cleverly designed, and the whole thing captures the chaotic, high-energy fun perfectly. Our group ran around like mad, shouting advice, solving puzzles, grabbing crystals, and yes β we even had our moment in the Crystal Dome collecting those golden tokens as the wind machines went wild. It was pure joy! But what really elevated it to next-level brilliant was our Maze Master, Pinch. He was phenomenal β hilarious, quick-witted, encouraging, and totally in character without ever breaking the immersion. His energy kept us going through every zone, and honestly, his performance was so spot-on that I had to pinch myself (pun intended!) at how good it all was. Shoutout to Pinch β you made the experience unforgettable! If you're a fan of the show or just want a unique, laugh-out-loud team adventure with friends or family, this is an absolute must-do in Manchester. Highly recommend booking β and pray you get Pinch as your host! Would go again in a heartbeat. Crystal clear winner! ππββοΈβ

βWhat a day!! We were looking for somewhere to host our company's 25th anniversary celebration. We needed somewhere with a conference room and team building activities, a colleague suggested Crystal Maze as they had been before. From start to finish the whole experience was incredible. Helena in Sales was so helpful and made the booking experience so positive. We had a team of 70 people attend the event and the whole day was fantastic. The 'conference room' was stunning, the perfect setting to celebrate our anniversary and host the team for the day. The maze masters were another level, they brought so much enthusiasm and energy to the maze ensuring all of our team were involved and had the best time. The food was delicious, 3 hot food options, vegetarian and allergies were also catered for. Overall, I can't recommend this more for any type of corporate team building event. We have received nothing but amazing feedback from our whole team, including those who this pushed out of their comfort zone. Personally, I am already planning a return visit with family and friends for next year! Thank you to the entire team for such a memorable and enjoyable experience!β

βThe Crystal Maze (escape room centre) is one of the most fun, high-energy team experiences you can do in Manchester. Itβs not a classic βone room, one storylineβ escape room β itβs a sequence of timed challenges across different zones, mixing puzzles, skill tasks, and physical elements. That variety is exactly what makes it work: everyone in the group gets a moment to contribute. The production is slick and the atmosphere is spot-on. Staff keep things moving at a great pace, explain the rules clearly, and manage the time pressure without making it stressful in a bad way. The games are genuinely engaging, and the whole experience rewards calm decision-making, quick communication, and smart risk choices (rather than just being the loudest person in the team). Itβs ideal for birthdays, work socials, or any group that wants something competitive but light-hearted β youβll be laughing within minutes. Tip: book ahead (slots fill fast), arrive early, and decide roles before you start β who calls decisions, who focuses on puzzles, and whoβs best at skill/physical games.β
