“Honestly a lot better than expected! The life guards did a splendid job all day. The Italian lifeguard was super friendly and saved a girl today.. the whole team was super organised, efficient and professional. The receptionist was nice and welcoming. Facilities where very very clean the pool too. I have absolutely nothing to say.. maulybe just the lack of umbrellas by the sun bathing area on the members area.. it would be nice to have it but I guess could be seen as a hazard with no stafg assigned to that area.. but then again put a warning up to close them if windy or be fined.. I booked for 3 hrs at the sunbathing area for £30 from 10-1 and ended up staying a bit longer but the security guard was very nice and professional and because either was not too busy he didn't keep me out straight away.”

“This is a great place for swimming & if like myself, you are disabled & need to use the gym for health reasons to try & keep your body from deteriorating further 😬 This is the place, it's all on the flat, so no loads of stairs to climb, i must say about two members of GLL's staff who i find outstanding. One is Dean who i remember from the Arches Leisure Centre 20 odd years ago & of course course Mia, who has helped me with my membership status. Must amend this review to include Chelsea who " clarified " my entitlements while having my membership changed, she's a 💎 😉”

“During an exercise class, I experienced severe vertigo and was unable to move. The staff and instructors were exceptional—caring, professional, and quick to act. They called paramedics, stayed with me until they arrived, and even ensured I got home safely. I’m also deeply grateful to four members who stayed with me, offering calm and reassuring support. A heartfelt thanks to all for your extraordinary care and kindness—it’s clear this team genuinely cares about everyone who visits.”

“Couldn’t imagine a better place to get both the sun and swim at the same time. Walk through reception where I’ll receive my cold beverage to aid me in my swim and during the summer sitting on the side waiting for the ice cream truck to deliver my ice cream. If I want to go enjoy a bit of a quieter environment I’d book for the Sun terrace where you can be away from the pool and enjoy a lovely sun lounge!”
