📍 London, Greater London
Playground with adjacent football fields, skate park, basketball court, outdoor gym, and an on-site cafe serving freshly cooked food. Free entry with varied activities for different ages.
Quite a good playground for youngsters. One bit of equipment is rather odd (you’ll know it when you see it). Parking right by it in the park. Parking can be a bit difficult at times but fairly empty today.
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Best for families with children at different stages who want activity variety in one location. Younger children use the playground as older ones gravitate toward the skate park, basketball court, or football fields. The floodlit football pitches extend the usable hours on Wednesday evenings. Parking can be tight during busy periods.

“Lots to do at Charlton Park. Football fields, playground, skate park, basketball court, outdoor gym etc. The old running track has gone with the railings that used to run around it a reminder of what used to be there. The floodlights also remain and now the evenings are drawing in they help extend the time you can use the field inside the old track. Football training every Wednesday is only possible because of the lights. Let's hope we don't have to put some money in the meter!”

Overview
Charlton Park Playground sits within a wider park offering considerably more than standard play equipment. Football fields with floodlighting extend into the evening, a skate park covers skating and boarding, and an outdoor gym adds options for older family members. The on-site cafe serves freshly cooked food and hot drinks. Some playground equipment shows wear and would benefit from maintenance.
