1 / 3Coast Riders Roller Rink
π Blackpool, North West
Indoor roller skating rink in Blackpool with a large renovated floor, on-site cafe, and free parking. Best visited during quieter periods. Staff conduct has drawn significant criticism in recent reviews.
Nice rink, I think the skate park is more popular but the rink had enough room for a few people. Good new floor π€ defo worth a visit. 2023 update, it's very cold in the cold weather, so keep your layers on until you warm up.
π Family Action Verdict
The rink space and renovated floor are decent, and quiet sessions offer a reasonable skating environment for families. Two separate one-star reviews describe staff being aggressively rude to visitors including children, which is a significant caution for families.

βThe roller rink has been quiet when I've visited in half term times. But there's usually debris on the surface, like toilet roll, or sweet wrappers so it would be nice to see them clean that up regularly. Last time they said there had been a leak so there was a wet floor sign and newspaper down. I've also noticed stains on the floor like mud from someone's shoes, as parents walk on the floor with their shoes whilst holding their skating child. This causes issues when it comes to hazards as they could leave stones and that could cause a trip liability. It would be great to see it free from debris and dirt. The biggest concern for me is the public toilet. They really need a good scrub, usually covered in poo on the bits where the water doesn't go. I really wish people cleaned the toilets here like they would clean theirs at home. Besides these issues it's a good location, lots of parking and fairly reasonable. When it's empty it's brilliant for practicing. But it's usually a challenge to navigate when kids cut straight across the rink and get in the way, especially since children haven't fully developed their spacial awareness.β

βThis evening i visited with a vulnerable adult in my care. We were greeted rudely by an elderly woman with βwhat are you here for.β We were not aware she was speaking to us that way. She then shook her head and stated the roller blading was closed. It says on the website itβs open till 9pm and to βjust walk inβ which is factually incorrect. This woman had zero customer service skills. The adult in my care was horrified by the way we were spoken to and this triggered her massively.β
