I was invited to watch a Hot Ice show here, and it was absolutely brilliant! The performance was amazing, most, if not all, of the skaters were Olympians, which made it even more impressive. The arena itself was well-organised and comfortable, and the show ran smoothly from start to finish. There was a bit of uncertainty regarding parking though, some attendants said it was free to park at the back of the Pleasure Beach, while others said it wasn’t, which left us a little confused. They also sell merchandise, which makes for a nice keepsake after the show.

🏆 Family Action Verdict

Best for families coming specifically to watch the Hot Ice show — reviewers rate it as outstanding, particularly the Christmas season BIDCA performances. Public skating sessions are shared with training groups using the majority of the rink, which significantly reduces actual skating time.

Came for BIDCA, our first time and wow, the show was amazing! Organisation was decent and the view at the back was good too. We'd definitely come again! Only issue was that there's no info to be found about bringing in your own snacks or water, so my mum called to ask and was told no, but nobody checked bags and we saw loads bringing in their own, which was a shame as we ended up waiting ages in a queue and spending a fair bit on drinks. Next time we'll just bring our own I think!
