1 / 2CroyWall Climbing Centre
📍 Croydon, Greater London
Indoor bouldering centre in Croydon with six climbing areas, routes from VB to advanced overhangs, auto-belay lines, a top-out cave, and structured Bouldering Basics classes for first-timers. Minimum age 4.
We hosted an event here as part of our social series Strangers in the City and it was an absolute JOY working with Croywall. We want shout out Lulu and Izzy for being such great instructors and making newbies feel so at home. We also want to thank Chris for onboarding people so quickly and being such a kind first-face people saw as soon as they got in the event. Chris is also a banging DJ and I really do encourage people reading this to check out some of the special events they host because you will be in for a treat. We will 100% be back here to host more events because CroyWall are such easy and joyous people to work with. Thank you again x
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Excellent entry point for families trying bouldering together — the VB to V2 beginner routes are plentiful and auto-belays work well for children climbing without an adult belayer. The Bouldering Basics class gives first-timers structured confidence before they explore independently.

“Great experience climbing here first time today (Feb 2026). Friendly staff (thanks Ralph and one other kind member of staff), fair grading, slabs of course, but also an amazing range of overhang climbs (my favourite) including a top out cave, which I've never come across before. It's clean, light and well laid out with plenty of space between walls, plus great training area with gym and training boards. And there's even some auto-belay if you fancy that. All in all, a brilliant place for bouldering. Will return whenever I'm in the area.”

“Great climbing gym with a good range of bouldering routes - loads for newbies as I managed about 50 VB-V2s 👍 Plus loads of more challenging routes, including overhanging stuff in the barrel and the cave. Nice little selection of auto-belays too. Plus friendly and helpful staff. Will be back soon!”

“Nice bouldering areas, plenty of variety for routes, the auto belays were decent, but they weren't much taller than the boulders.”
