Delph Waterfall And Nature Trail
đ Skelmersdale, North West
A compact wooded nature trail with a stream and small waterfall near Skelmersdale, offering tree climbing, stream splashing, and natural exploration for young children. Fly-tipping and litter are persistent problems throughout the site.
All the hard work the locals put in has been beaten! Lovely little place to chill and explore with little ones! Especially if it's on your door step, but not worth a special visit if your not local.. Nice stream for the youngsters to splash in..
đ Family Action Verdict
Families living within walking distance will find the stream and woodland useful for a quick outdoor nature play session â tree climbing and stream splashing work for young children with the surroundings.

âShame about the large amount of litter. It is a small but lovely wooded area with a stream which should be great for local kids exploring, climbing and swinging from the trees. Not worth travelling to as quite small.â

âOne little waterfall. Nothing else really even the birds were scarce. Just avoid the shopping trollies and mounds of litter.â

âWent today with the grandchildren after seeing (outdated) pics and reviews. Local tip. Shopping trollies, traffic cones, dumped sofas, mattresses, bags of rubbish, toys, cans everywhere. Absolute dump, some locals even appear to simply empty their bins over their fences. Photos taken 16th March 2025â

Overview
Delph Waterfall and Nature Trail is a small wooded area with a stream running through it and one modest waterfall drop. Children can climb trees, splash in the stream, and explore the woods on foot. The site is compact â reviewers consistently describe it as not worth a special journey from outside the immediate local area. Litter, dumped furniture, shopping trolleys, and fly-tipped rubbish are spread throughout the site and have been reported across multiple years of reviews without resolution.
