1 / 2Dormers Wells Leisure Centre
📍 Southall, Greater London
Multi-facility centre with 20m pool, 68-station gym including a women-only section, dance studio, sports hall, and outdoor multi-use courts. Accessible with hoist and ramp access.
Huge credit to the manager Yusuf and the entire team. The staff are genuinely helpful, respectful, and always trying their best to support members. You can really feel the positive atmosphere they create.
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Families coming for the pool and group fitness classes will benefit from the accessible layout and genuinely supportive staff team. The gym equipment and changing rooms are in poor condition — the downstairs area has had no working air conditioning for months, making it uncomfortably hot for prolonged exercise.

“The staff at the gym are friendly and helpful, which is the only positive. Unfortunately, the facilities are in a terrible state. The showers are broken, the carpet is filthy, and the gym floor and equipment are old and disgusting. Hygiene seems completely ignored. It’s very disappointing that a place with such nice staff has such poor cleanliness and maintenance.”

“As mentioned in the previous reviews, the air conditioner has not been working for months downstairs. Feels like working out in a sauna, I saw someone almost pass out downstairs a few weeks ago due to the excessive temperature. There are 2 temporary fans which do nothing at all. The air quality downstairs is terrible, no circulation, so when it’s busy, smells awful. Parts of the building have not been repaired since the flood, missing parts on equipment, torn fabric on equipment which hasn’t been fixed, the list goes on. If I could give it zero stars I would , but it didn’t let me. This gym needs to start compensating customers as I am paying full price for an awful service all round. The membership should be lowered to £10 a month to reflect the quality of service and equipment offered.”

“This gym thrives on punishing its members instead of appreciation of its customers and community, being penalised for things which are common in a gym,not even a gentle reminder but fines when there is a cost of living going on. With all those fines you would think they will upkeep the facilities but no,changing room has been a shamble for over 2 years and cannot be bothered to fix it. Please look into your gyms standards”
