1 / 3Everyman Bristol
📍 Redland, South West
Luxury cinema in the restored 1921 Whiteladies Picture House with sofa seating across three intimate screens. Gourmet food and handcrafted drinks delivered to your seat. Baby Club screenings available for families with infants.
We went to Everyman Bristol to watch Wuthering Heights and decided to get some food and drinks during the film. The waiting area feels more like a normal bar than a typical cinema lobby, and it looks very fancy. The sofas are really comfy, which makes the whole experience feel more relaxed and a bit more special than a standard cinema trip. We ordered burgers and pints. The burger was okay overall. The patty itself was nice and cooked well, but there was a slightly bitter taste from something inside. We suspect it may have been the lettuce. It wasn’t terrible, just slightly noticeable. The pints were bottled rather than draft, which is fine, just something to keep in mind. We also tried cocktails, and for a cinema, they were actually quite nice. Overall, it was a good experience. The atmosphere is comfortable and stylish, and aside from a small issue with the burger, we enjoyed our visit.
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Best for families treating older children or teens to a special occasion cinema experience rather than a routine trip. The sofa seating and in-seat service make films feel like an event. Baby Club screenings make it accessible for parents with infants. Arrive by public transport or plan parking in advance — on-street parking nearby is sparse.

“We really love Everyman cinemas, and this was our first trip to the one in Bristol! The building is absolutely fantastic. Originally ‘Whiteladies Picture House’, it opened in 1921, and formerly a ballroom, and a billiard room. It’s a grade II listed building, holding lots of original art deco charm, 4 cinema screens, and a chic bar. The screens themselves are small, in the best way, feeling intimate and cosy with plush velvet sofas. We ordered food and drinks to our screen, which arrived in good time and tasted delicious. We do think it’s pretty pricey for what it is, but is nice for a special occasion. There were a couple items we wanted unavailable on the menu, but not a huge issue. All staff were friendly and helpful, and we’ll definitely be back.”

“Absolutely love Everyman Bristol! It completely transforms going to the cinema into a proper treat. The seats are unbelievably comfortable with loads of leg room — you can properly relax and enjoy the film. Being able to order amazing food and drinks straight to your seat is a total game-changer, and the quality is miles better than standard cinema snacks. Brilliant atmosphere, fantastic service, and worth every penny. My go-to cinema every time!”
