Love The Filmhouse! The seats are so comfy and the venue is so brilliant. I've been a few times already, and had a wonderful experience for the 100th anniversary of The Phantom of the Opera (1925) and also more recently, Guillermo Del Toro's Frankenstein. Thank you also to the staff, always so kind and welcoming. I'm thinking I might get a membership next year 😁

πŸ† Family Action Verdict

Families with teenagers and film-interested older children will find the programming and atmosphere genuinely different from multiplex cinema. The under-26 membership discount makes repeat visits affordable for older kids. Younger children are unlikely to connect with the arthouse-leaning programme.

β€œMight fine cinema πŸŽ₯. Just been revamped, huge Bar area, not sure about food. Our cinema was compact, only 20 seats. Huge comfy seats. My wife fell asleep after walking round the city all day. Really enjoyed the movie. Just off Princess st, 5min walk from the Tram. West end station πŸš‰.”

β€œI never went to the old Filmhouse, but was impressed with my recent trip. We were in a smaller room; the seats were comfortable, but the screen was a little small. The bar was hopping on a Sunday night. I’m glad it’s so popular.”
