1 / 2Finsbury Leisure Centre
đ London, Greater London
Community sports hub offering squash courts, outdoor football pitches, sports hall, studio classes, and swimming. Bike storage for 12, accessible changing rooms, and direct access from Old Street tube.
I gave the 5 stars to appreciate the staff's keen help when we had an issue with our court booking.
đ Family Action Verdict
Best for families after affordable multi-sport access in a central London location. Older children and teens get the most from the full range â squash, football, badminton, and swimming in one site. Families booking football pitches should request a pitch other than number 3 in winter and check court conditions after heavy rain.

âWell, typical council one but with loads of activities like squash, karate or basketball, football. Reasonable clean too, can't complain. Frankly, you need these accessible places everywhere, real community feel.â

âWe play regularly here and the quality of pitches is ok. That being said. They are priced fairly high and the lighting remains a problem. Especially pitch number 3 is pretty dark during the winter months.â

âGood size pitch but some undulations and missing bits of turf creating injury risk.â

Overview
Finsbury Leisure Centre covers squash courts, outdoor football pitches, sports hall, studio spaces, and a swimming pool. The centre runs birthday parties, holiday swimming lessons, and year-round sports programmes. Accessible changing rooms and 12-space bike storage on site. Old Street station is a short walk. Pitch 3 suffers from poor lighting in winter months, and roof leaks can affect the badminton courts on wet days.
