1 / 2Glasgow Club Drumchapel Pool
📍 Drumchapel, Central Scotland
Community pool with three separate areas — recreational, lane, and family swimming — plus sauna, steam rooms, and free family sessions on select days. Opening hours are weekday-focused with no weekend availability.
Took my 1yr old granddaughter swimming for the 1st time (that is 1st for me- parents have had her swimming before). Covid rules meant we had to book in advance and stick to the designated part of the Family Area. All well and good so far but them came the part where you get the kid wet . . . She did not enjoy it - by jeez did she howl! However some friendly attendants did some socially-distanced distracting and the kid settled down and actually enjoyed herself. We overran our allotted time slot but the self same attendants and other staff gave us a load of support and assistance, above and beyond the call of duty to help us get our granddaughter ready for home. Fab staff, highly commend them
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Excellent for local families with children of all swimming abilities, particularly those learning or building confidence. Three pool areas mean swimmers are never mixed with those above their level. The major constraint is scheduling — no weekend sessions and only two weekday after-school slots make it impractical for working parents.

“Well priced, great for a workout. The pools are sectioned off for lengths for those who are there for fitness, and those there to chill in the pool get their own section. The sauna and steam rooms are tiny, but they do the job after a good workout. Plus you get your money back in the locker. I never knew they ever brought those back”

“The pools are clean, suited for all abilities as there are 3 of them. Plenty of floats etc available. Staff are friendly and prices are great. Pools haven't changed since I was a child though and they are under threat of closure which would be such a shame for the community. Needs some support and investment. Prices are amazing.”

“Staff are very helpful and keep you up to date on what's going on. The big pool is really deep and there's lots of room Smaller pools for the less experienced swimmer. Only reason it's not a 5 star is it needs more showers. 100 times better than Scotstoun for swimming.”
